This Refund Policy applies to purchases of a Baryon Pro license. It is referenced by, and forms part of, the Baryon End User License Agreement. Terms used here have the meaning given in the EULA.
Try before you buy
The Baryon desktop app is free to download and evaluate without a paid license. We encourage you to evaluate Baryon and confirm it works on your system before purchasing a Baryon Pro license.
14-day refund for new purchases
If you are not satisfied with a Baryon Pro payment, you may request a full refund within 14 days of that payment by emailing support@baryon.live from the address tied to your license. This applies to rent-to-own installments, an ownership payoff, and one-time (perpetual) purchases.
Refunds may be declined where we reasonably determine the request is abusive — for example, repeated buy-and-refund cycles, or refunds requested only after completing a specific event or performance.
Rent-to-own
If your Baryon Pro license is on the rent-to-own plan:
- You may pause at any time. A pause stops future renewal charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Pausing does not erase non-refunded ownership credit or registered devices. You can resume later from the same balance.
- You may pay the exact remaining ownership balance early. Once the balance is paid, Baryon automatically requests cancellation of future plan payments. Permanent ownership settles separately after the qualifying payment’s 14-day refund window. Refunding a payoff restores the remaining balance; it does not silently restart stopped payments.
- After the 14-day window above, a payment for a billing period that has already started is non-refundable, except where required by law. Pro runtime access continues through the paid-through date plus the signed 14-day operational buffer.
- Renewal terms and prices are shown before you buy and are also covered by Section 8 of the EULA.
One-time (perpetual) purchases
For a one-time Baryon Pro purchase, the 14-day refund above applies. After that window, the purchase is non-refundable except where required by law or where the license materially fails to perform as described and we cannot resolve the issue.
EU, UK, and other statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with a legal right of withdrawal for digital purchases, that right applies in addition to this policy. Because a Baryon Pro license unlocks digital features immediately, you may be asked to agree, at checkout, that performance begins right away and that you lose the statutory withdrawal right once it does. Nothing in this policy removes any refund or cancellation right you have under applicable consumer law.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. The time to appear on your statement depends on your payment provider.
Effect on your license
When a rent-to-own payment is refunded, its dollar credit is removed from the ownership balance; other non-refunded progress remains. A refund or chargeback that revokes the associated benefits may deactivate Baryon Pro and its device authorizations. Pausing payments by itself does not revoke the license or remove devices. Free features remain available under the EULA.
Chargebacks
If you have a problem with a charge, please contact support@baryon.live first so we can help. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in deactivation of the license while the dispute is reviewed.
Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will change the version and effective date above. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
