This Refund Policy applies to purchases of a Baryon Pro license. It is referenced by, and forms part of, the Baryon End User License Agreement. Terms used here have the meaning given in the EULA.
Try before you buy
The Baryon desktop app is free to download and evaluate without a paid license. We encourage you to evaluate Baryon and confirm it works on your system before purchasing a Baryon Pro license.
14-day refund for new purchases
If you are not satisfied with a new Baryon Pro purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the purchase date by emailing support@baryon.live from the address tied to your license. This applies to both subscription and one-time (perpetual) purchases.
Refunds may be declined where we reasonably determine the request is abusive — for example, repeated buy-and-refund cycles, or refunds requested only after completing a specific event or performance.
Subscriptions
If your Baryon Pro license is a recurring subscription:
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewal charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- After the 14-day window above, charges for a billing period that has already started are non-refundable, except where required by law. You keep access to paid features through the end of the period you have paid for.
- Renewal terms and prices are shown before you buy and are also covered by Section 8 of the EULA.
One-time (perpetual) purchases
For a one-time Baryon Pro purchase, the 14-day refund above applies. After that window, the purchase is non-refundable except where required by law or where the license materially fails to perform as described and we cannot resolve the issue.
EU, UK, and other statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with a legal right of withdrawal for digital purchases, that right applies in addition to this policy. Because a Baryon Pro license unlocks digital features immediately, you may be asked to agree, at checkout, that performance begins right away and that you lose the statutory withdrawal right once it does. Nothing in this policy removes any refund or cancellation right you have under applicable consumer law.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. The time to appear on your statement depends on your payment provider.
Effect on your license
When a purchase is refunded or charged back, the associated Baryon Pro license is deactivated, and Performer Mode and other paid features stop working. Free evaluation features remain available under the EULA.
Chargebacks
If you have a problem with a charge, please contact support@baryon.live first so we can help. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in deactivation of the license while the dispute is reviewed.
Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will change the version and effective date above. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
